If you want to know the limit of human contrast sensitivity you ask a psychophysicist, a kind of biologist. If you want to know the limit of human morality you ask a philosopher, a kind of what exactly? Why should this be so? The limit of any power of a biological entity is a biological question to be answered — ultimately — by a biologist.
